I’m personally thrilled with how the Dark Reflections books are turning out. I think that Bound is both a great addition to Alec & Adri’s story, and a great start point for people who may not have had a chance to read any of my work yet. My advance readers are telling me that they think Hunted (book 2, due out in March) is the best thing I’ve ever written, and I think that book three is going to blow everyone away.

The Reflections series was such a joy to read and I hope that it continues in the future! I just finished reading Riven, and was wondering what comes next in Alec and Adri’s love story. It left me with such a cliffhanger and I am craving for more!!

It’s good to hear that Adri and Alec got under your skin the same way that they got under mine! There is definitely more to come of Alec and Adri’s story, but in the main Reflections books we’re going to be spending some time with Jasmin, Isaac, Rachel and the rest. There are some important things that need to happen with the rest of the Reflections pack before they’ll be ready to help Alec and Adri get where they are headed.
In the meantime, I’d suggest that you go pick up Bound if you haven’t already. Bound is all about how Alec’s life could have been, and along the way we get to see sides of him and Adri that we haven’t seen yet. I was talking to my dad earlier today (he’s been reading the Reflections books) and he told me that originally he thought that the Dark Reflections Series sounded like a terrible idea. He said that some of the other alternate timeline storylines he’s read felt like someone was just trying to milk a dried up storyline for some more money, but that he was really surprised at the way that I’ve used the Dark Reflections books (he’s read Hunted already too) to bring out other elements of Alec and Adri’s personalities).
It’s always nice to have your parents tell you that you did a good job on something (even at my age), but I was especially happy to hear that I’ve managed to accomplish at least some of what I set out to do wit Bound and Hunted. My dad was likewise doubtful that anyone could write the same story from two different viewpoints (like Broken and Torn) and have it be worthwhile to read them both, but I managed to surprise him there too (he’s been hugely supportive by the way, I don’t mean for him to come off sounding otherwise).
I think there is a good parallel between what I did in Broken and Torn, and what I’m trying to do by adding in the Dark Reflections books to the Reflections universe. Ultimately what I’m doing in both instances is a little unconventional, but I think that both are necessary to tell the story that I need to tell. My goal is hopefully to be able to tell two related stories and have them be such that you can enjoy them seperately, but make them so that when you read them together you get something that’s even better than the sum of it’s parts.
Writing the three Dark Reflections books that I’ve got at least through the rough draft stage so far has actually been key to me being able to continue on writing the Reflections books. There were things that came to light for me as I was writing Hunted that made things click as far as what is going to happen next for Alec and Adri. I think it’s going to blow peoples minds, but we won’t know for sure until I get that particular book written.

Beyond that, if you’re in the mood for something that is a little darker and a tad more edgy, you might enjoy The Greater Darkness and A Darkness Mirrored. It’s only a few more months before I’ll be able to release the book where Jasmin, Ben, and Geoffrey all met up.

Hi! I’ve just finished reading a darkness mirrored, having also read all the previous reflections books. I came on with the hope of finding out when Disillusioned/Bound was available. So glad I don’t have to wait lol although saying that, I read them within 2 days tops so I’ll definitely have a wait on my hands when/if there is another one!
Darkness mirrored actually had me in tears towards the end. So beautifully sad 🙁

I’m really proud of the way that A Darkness Mirrored turned out–so good to hear that it hit you the same way that it hit me. Honestly I didn’t anticipate some of what happened in that one.
I hope that you love Bound just as much! I should be adding a release date for Isaac’s book sometime in the next week or so–I wish I could write them as fast as you all read them 🙂

I love the Alec and Adri storyline. I have read and purchased all of your books with the exception of the ones I got for free. The Geoffrey storyline was much harder for me to get into but at the end if left me crying … wishing I knew that lucy and geoffrey had found happiness. I just purchased bound and while anxious to read it because I feel an emptiness with Alec and Adri I am afraid it will be far too long to wait for their story to continue and move ahead. I have enjoyed all your books but Broken is by far my favorite and then Riven. Please do not leave us hanging so long that we lose interest.

I’m glad that you’ve enjoyed the Reflections series so much! I’m glad that you decided to purchase Bound, I think you’re going to really like it–it gives you a lot more insight into Alec and how things could have gone for him.
I promise that I’m working as quickly as I can to get more books written, and while I can understand some of the frustration that people have been expressing with regards to some of the other, non-Adri & Alec, non-Reflections books that I’ve written lately, I’m still confident that these other books will make Adri and Alec’s story even better as it goes forward.
