The Story Continues

Broken (A Reflections Novel)If you’re reading this then you’ve more than likely just finished reading A Darkness Mirrored. I hope that you enjoyed it. When I started A Darkness Mirrored I was really nervous about the idea of trying to weave a second story around the events that had already been recounted in The Greater Darkness. It was a risky, unconventional thing to do, but ultimately I think it really paid off from the stand point of making The Greater Darkness and A Darkness Mirrored much stronger than they ever could have been individually.

This actually isn’t the first time that I’ve gone back and weaved another story around the threads of a previously-written story. The first time I did it was with Broken and Torn. That’s actually where I’d like you to go next.

Torn (A Reflections Novel)I actually write Reflections books as both Eldon Murphy and Dean Murray. The Greater Darkness, A Darkness Mirrored, Torn, and Broken are all part of the same universe and ever since I wrote the second book in the Reflections universe I knew that I wanted to eventually join up Geoffrey with the Dean Murray Reflections characters.

The next Reflections book, Driven, will continue Geoffrey’s story and lay the groundwork for what happens next with Lucy, but it’s going to do even more than that. Driven is going to see Geoffrey team up with one of the characters from the Sanctuary pack, someone he’s going to have to convince to help him if he’s going to survive what’s coming.

Driven (A Reflections Novel)I know this is unconventional, but I strongly urge you to go read Broken and Torn before moving on to Driven. You can start with whichever story sounds the most interesting to you. Broken is currently free at most of the major retailers and Torn is free if you join my mailing list. Once you’ve finished with Broken and Torn, there are a number of additional titles for you to enjoy in the process of getting up to speed on the backstory that is going to be such an integral part of Driven.

I have a history of doing unconventional things with my writing, but they always make for a stronger, better story. This is another of those times where I’ve done something out of the norm, but my readers are telling me that bringing the Dean Murray characters together with the Eldon Murphy characters allowed Driven to deliver in ways they didn’t even know were possible.
